Constructed wetlands
Water treatment can also become a landscape project.
What is a constructed wetland?
It is a wastewater treatment system built around planted beds and suitable filter materials. As water moves through the substrate, microorganisms, physical and chemical processes, and plant roots contribute to treatment. Plants do not work alone: performance depends on the design and sizing of the whole system.

Planted beds can sit within paths, stone walls, gardens and Mediterranean vegetation. We design shape, levels, species and seasons alongside the technical function. Landscape design accompanies hydraulic and environmental checks.
Sustainability must be assessed, not assumed.
A well-designed constructed wetland may use less energy than some conventional systems and connect water management with the landscape. It can support varied planting and, where reuse is permitted, reduce demand for fresh water. The actual balance depends on land area, pre-treatment, possible pumping, maintenance and required effluent quality; these conditions must be assessed for each project.

FEASIBILITY
Where it may be appropriate
Villas, hospitality projects, rural properties and small communities can require different solutions. We assess feasibility before recommending a system. Area, constraints, intended use of treated water and maintenance shape the choice. Reuse is considered only where permitted and subject to required water quality and approvals.
